Head Coaches

Expectations of a CMYBA Head Coach/Manager:

1) Have all backgound clearances on file with CMYBA
2) Have a good knowledge of the game of baseball
3) Take care of the organization's equipment and facilities
4) Communicate with team parents and players
5) Prepare the field for games and practices
6) Know the CMYBA rules for your level of play (available on the league website)
7) Attend player draft/team selection
8) Attend coaches/umpire meeting (mandatory in the Spring)
9) Attend and help on Field Day for the current season
10) Make a lineup before the start of the game and follow all CMYBA rules during the game
11) Make sure dugouts are clean after a game or practice
12) Rake the base pits, home plate and the pitchers mound after the game or practice
13) Make sure CMYBA facilities are locked properly before leaving
14) Attend monthly league meetings
15) Always act in a professional manner towards players, parents, coaches, umpires and anyone else associated with CMYBA.

Assistant Coaches

Some of the things that are expected of a CMYBA Assistant Coach:

1) Have all background clearances on file with CMYBA
2) Have knowledge of the game of baseball
3) Communicate with the parents and players
4) Know the CMYBA rules for your level of play (available on league website under the Coaches tab)
5) Be present for the majority of games and practices
6) Assist the head coach in games and practices
7) Help prepare the field before a game or practice
8) Help rake the base pits, homeplate and the pitchers mound after the game or practice
9) Always act in a professional manner towards players, parents, coaches, umpires and anyone else associated with CMYBA.
10) Be ready to step in should the head coach not be able to attend a game or practice.
11) Being an assistant coach does not count towards the season's required volunteer hours.
